Wander In Wander Out

about

Story of my life...

lyrics

Out on the highway clouds are rolling by
I’m sitting at this bar, not a car in my sky
An 18-wheeler’s weaving through my mind
I got big plans, baby, if only I could find the time

I dreamed a large dream, I sure hope it comes true
I was a filthy rich man making perfect love to you
I looked you in the eye and I thought I could see
Everything I ever wanted staring back at me

And the customers in this bar wander in and wander out
Like the people in our lives that wander in and wander out
Like Halley and his comet wandering in and wandering out
Like you and me……wandering……in and out

I’d like to change the world the way I change my mind
Like to be somebody but I can’t even be on time
I’d like to climb a mountain but I can barely climb the stairs
I should tell you how I feel but maybe I’m just too scared

They tell you what to do but they never tell you why
There’s no answers in the back of the book, all you can do is try
And sometimes you get the prize, but most of the time you just get hurt
It’s like we’re all making mud pies on this great big ball of dirt

And the customers……

And the customers……
